Good thinking, Steven. In fact, some cosmologists are investigating possibilities very similar to this. Professor Andy Albrecht at UCDavis is working on models in which mass in other dimensions is responsible for the dark matter. I recommend seeing this article: http://www.sciencenews.org/20010407/bob14.asp for more information. Since it is proposed there could be around 10-11 dimensions (for example)and we only observe four, then wouldn't it make sense that the majority of the mass would be distributed between these dimensions yet still exert a gravitational force? > -- > __________________________________________________________ > Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com > http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup >
